La Vergne lies within the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area. La Vergne is located at 36°0′48″N 86°33′46″W (36.013330, -86.562682). It directly borders the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville on the northwest, Smyrna on the southeast, and Percy Priest Lake on the northeast.
